Geron to Present at the 8th Annual Needham Life Sciences Conference


MENLO PARK, Calif., June 10, 2009 - Geron Corporation (Nasdaq: GERN) today announced that Thomas B. Okarma, Ph.D., M.D., president and chief executive officer, will present an update of the company's product development programs at 9:30 a.m. ET on Thursday, June 11, 2009, at the 8th Annual Needham Life Sciences Conference in New York City.

The presentation will review Geron's portfolio of anti-cancer therapies, including its telomerase inhibitor drug (imetelstat sodium - GRN163L) and its telomerase therapeutic vaccine (GRNVAC1). The update will also include information about the company's human embryonic stem cell (hESC) development programs for spinal cord injury (GRNOPC1) and its second generation cancer immunotherapy (GRNVAC2).
