MENLO PARK, Calif., November 18, 2008 - Geron Corporation (Nasdaq: GERN) today announced that Thomas B. Okarma, Ph.D., M.D., president and chief executive officer, will present an update of the company's oncology programs at 3:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at the Lazard Capital Markets 5th Annual Healthcare Conference in New York City.
The update will focus on Geron's portfolio of anti-cancer therapies, including the telomerase inhibitor drug (GRN163L) and the telomerase therapeutic vaccine (GRNVAC1). The presentation will also include information on the company's development program for its second generation cancer vaccine (GRNVAC2) based on human embryonic stem cells.
