MENLO PARK, Calif., September 4, 2008 - Geron Corporation (Nasdaq: GERN) today announced that Thomas B. Okarma, Ph.D., M.D., president and chief executive officer, will present an update of the company's product development programs at 9:45 am EDT on Friday, September 5, 2008, at the Thomas Weisel Partners Healthcare Conference in Boston.
The update will include information about Geron's portfolio of anti-cancer therapies, including its telomerase inhibitor drug (GRN163L) and its telomerase therapeutic vaccine (GRNVAC1). The presentation will also include a review of the company's human embryonic stem cell development programs for spinal cord injury (GRNOPC1), heart disease (GRNCM1) and diabetes (GRNIC1).
